Khadi Smocked Trouser
These trousers showcase the technique of traditional English smocking, and are the result of ninety hours of skilled embroidery. Before the invention of elastic, smocking was commonly used to create elasticity in fabric. While other embroidery styles are purely decorative, smocking was a useful technique that has been applied since the Middle Ages to make clothes both form fitting and flexible. The smocked trousers in cream Khadi cotton is shown here with the matching Khadi Smocked Blouse as well as our chalk Oversized Collar Cashmere Sweater.
